What this service is

This site records what US screening providers publish about their own prices and runs an introduction service: when you ask for quotes we introduce you to background screening providers who may contact you. It does not run background checks, does not resell them and is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

How we are paid

Providers may pay us when we introduce a buyer to them, so a provider you contact through this site can pay us and you pay us nothing. That never changes what a provider's own published price says, because we quote it verbatim from the provider's page and date it, and it never changes which providers appear: the roster is the CFPB's list, not a paid placement.

What the price record is and is not

Every figure is a quotation from a provider's own public page on the date shown. Prices change and providers rewrite their pages. Treat a figure as evidence of what was published that day, and confirm it with the provider before you buy.

No warranty

Nothing here is legal advice. FCRA duties, state screening law and DOT testing rules bind you directly as the employer or landlord ordering the check, and you should take advice on your own programme.
